False Witness by Karin Slaughter

False Witness by Karin Slaughter.

I have enjoyed the novels of Ms Slaughter right from the beginning when I picked up a copy of “Kisscut” due to being unsure what I wished to read and a rather lurid cover. False witness is, in my opinion, her best book so far.

What impressed me most was how far she has come. Her first books were good, I enjoyed them, but the writing was adequate to good, the plotting left a little to be desired.

Years of experience and innate writing ability has transformed Ms Slaughter’s work to Masterful where plotting is concerned, beautiful

in phrasing and touch. In short, from a good storyteller she has become a master writer. As well as crime fiction this could easily be classed “Literary fiction”.

A classic crime thriller from one of the best writers in the genre.

What’s New With Raymond Walker

Mid May 2025 will see the release of "The Pale Shadow" . An unusual ghost story. Raymond wishes this to be a quiet release as it follows the story of an earlier (deleted) book that he wished to improve.

"The Dark Kind" will follow before the end of this year (2025) a completely new novel and an ending to all of the river tales.  It will be hearalded, Proclaimed and advertised as both the publishers and public are awaiting a conclusion to "The dead girl and the wandering tree".  After that will come "Sad Green Eyes" around may 2026. Then...who knows.
