Girl A by Abigal Dean.

Girl A.

I am going to add another plaudit to the many that accompany this novel. I wished to add a couple of little, derisory, silly things before I tell you how wonderful this novel is.

Some of the paragraph connections, some of the sudden changes of year and characters can be jarring, throwing you from the track of the tale. That said (and now I am agreeing with everyone else) ignoring these trivial things (which is quite easy in a novel that grips you from end to end) this is a marvelous tale. My only little (and it truly is a little thing) annoyance is that it did not delve deeper into the psychology of the characters. I think that suits my bent rather than what others will think. A great novel. I would certainly recommend it. A great read.

What’s New With Raymond Walker

Mid May 2025 will see the release of "The Pale Shadow" . An unusual ghost story. Raymond wishes this to be a quiet release as it follows the story of an earlier (deleted) book that he wished to improve.

"The Dark Kind" will follow before the end of this year (2025) a completely new novel and an ending to all of the river tales.  It will be hearalded, Proclaimed and advertised as both the publishers and public are awaiting a conclusion to "The dead girl and the wandering tree".  After that will come "Sad Green Eyes" around may 2026. Then...who knows.
