The Dead Girl and the Wandering Tree.

Today I received one of the greatest compliments I could ever receive. I am still basking in its reflection. An old friend e-mailed me and said he had just finished reading "The Dead Girl and the Wandering Tree" Firstly he apologized for not reading it sooner and then went on to say he had read the whole book in one day. That (and I quote directly) "I have not been so enchanted with a novel since I read "The Snow Child" by Eowyn Ivey, the language, the stories of the children Emily and Sarah and then Robert had me in tears for hours, I could not stop reading until done".

This, from one of the greatest Scots crime fiction writers of today, felt wonderful. That he had compared the book to "The Snow Child" was doubly so. It is a favourite of mine.
I thought to post it here as it is rare that I achieve such lofty praise. Lol and from someone whose books sell thousands more than mine do.

Hopefully when "Under Dark Skies" comes out on the 18th of October this year it will impress everyone just as much though it is a much darker tale.

What’s New With Raymond Walker

Mid May 2025 will see the release of "The Pale Shadow" . An unusual ghost story. Raymond wishes this to be a quiet release as it follows the story of an earlier (deleted) book that he wished to improve.

"The Dark Kind" will follow before the end of this year (2025) a completely new novel and an ending to all of the river tales.  It will be hearalded, Proclaimed and advertised as both the publishers and public are awaiting a conclusion to "The dead girl and the wandering tree".  After that will come "Sad Green Eyes" around may 2026. Then...who knows.
