The Dread, Damnable and Macabre.

I wrote a collection of short horror tales a few years ago and called it "The Dread, Damnable and Macabre"
In this collection there is a story called "The Dread" and all the other tales are "Damnable and Macabre". So, you can imagine how it gained its name. The book carries the subtitle "A Collection of Horror Tales".
I considered it one of my best books though few took any notice when it was released. The odd copy sold here and there and that is how it has continued. Ten copies here, twenty there, slow but steadily. It was not a total failure. Nor was it a success.
Today I received a third contact about producing one of the stories as a film. All three contacts were about different stories from the book. I think my hardly noticed, upon release, book has suddenly become important.
As Chuck Berry said, "goes to show you never can tell".

What’s New With Raymond Walker

Mid May 2025 will see the release of "The Pale Shadow" . An unusual ghost story. Raymond wishes this to be a quiet release as it follows the story of an earlier (deleted) book that he wished to improve.

"The Dark Kind" will follow before the end of this year (2025) a completely new novel and an ending to all of the river tales.  It will be hearalded, Proclaimed and advertised as both the publishers and public are awaiting a conclusion to "The dead girl and the wandering tree".  After that will come "Sad Green Eyes" around may 2026. Then...who knows.
